How To Use Adipeau

The question I get asked more than any other about this product.

"How do I actually use it?" It's a completely fair question, because the instructions sound a bit strange until you understand why they work that way.

Here's the thing: both Adipeau products (Strength Gel and Volume Cream) are designed to absorb through the hair follicles into the deeper layers of skin, not straight through the surface. So you apply them, and then you leave them alone while that happens. Rubbing them straight in defeats the purpose entirely - you're working against the product, not with it.

Here's exactly what I do:

After cleansing, I apply the Strength Gel over my full face and neck - a thin layer, leave it tacky, don't rub in completely. Then I apply the Volume Cream under my eyes and around the sides of my mouth and jowl area as a spot treatment, also under my chin. Then I go and do something else for five to ten minutes - make coffee, feed the cat, stare at my phone. Anything that isn't touching my face.

When I come back, I rub in whatever's left on the surface. The remaining Volume Cream spreads like a beautiful rich moisturiser across the whole face. The skin looks luminous - genuinely glassy. Makeup goes on over the top better than with anything else I've used.

No moisturiser needed afterwards - the products do that job themselves. Everything else in your routine (serums, vitamin C, peptides) goes on first; Adipeau always goes on last.

Important: don't use anything with caffeine or hyaluronic acid over the top. Both ingredients block what Adipeau is trying to do, so it's worth checking the rest of your routine for either one. Anyone using a strong vitamin A product such as prescribed tretinoin or a high-dose retinol could look at using Adipeau on alternate nights or using Adipeau in the morning and vitamin A at night. Low-dose vitamin A products are not so much of a concern.
